Thabang Ramoroka

Described by many as a rare breed of powerful and influential young leaders in South Africa, Thabang Ramoroka popularly known as Abuti Rams is an award-winning education and training specialist, youth development practitioner, thought leader, author, facilitator, keynote speaker and a digital strategist.

His passion for youth development led him to pioneer an award-winning and most innovative youth-led organisation in Southern Africa called Agape Youth Movement (AYM). Through the organisation, Thabang has worked with individuals and groups across all markets including teachers, students, young adults, community, political and even religious leaders by assisting and guiding them to greater levels of achievement, fulfilment and empowerment in various aspects of their lives.

Thabang also writes for thought-leadership platforms such as Mail & Guardian’s Thought Leader and Voices of News24. He contributes on public youth development dialogues and debates covering topics such as youth entrepreneurship, social transformation and social media, having been featured on numerous local and international media platforms.

At the age of 21, Thabang kicked-off his entrepreneurial journey when he co-founded an integrated brand agency offering both digital and traditional communication solutions called Coram Web Solutions (now Biz M8 Communications). Between 2014 and 2015, he served on TOSACA Media Group’s executive board as a Chief Information Officer (CIO). Late 2015, he established Abuti Rams Consultancy firm which activates leadership and human potential. His sterling work and impact towards black youth entrepreneurship development and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) was been esteemed by institutions of higher learning in South Africa such as the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) and ETA Collegewhere he contributes as a guest lecturer.
